Macquarie University Research Fellowship Scheme

The Macquarie University Research Fellowship (MQRF) Scheme for 2019 is now open for formal Expressions of Interest.

Macquarie University (in Sydney, Australia) is offering up to 10 full-time Research Fellowship positions commencing in 2019. Fellowships will be awarded on a competitive basis and will be fixed-term for three years. Applicants must have been awarded their PhD on or after 1 March 2015, or have submitted their thesis on or before 7 August 2018. (Applicants who don’t meet these eligibility criteria will need to make a convincing case for early career researcher status).

If you have an interest in applying for one of these Fellowships in the 2019 round through the Department of Sociology, please send:
  1. Your current CV, including a list of publications. Publications should be listed under the headings: books, book chapters, peer-reviewed journal articles and other.
  2. Provisional project title and a brief (400-word) project description
  3. Name of potential Sponsor
To: A/Prof Shaun Wilson ( by 5 pm, Wednesday 9 May.  

Applicants will be advised of the outcome of this review process by Wednesday, 16 May. Approved candidates will then be required to work closely with their Sponsor to develop a complete, good-quality draft of their EOI byWednesday, 23 May for review and the provision of feedback prior to the final deadline of Thursday, 31 May.
